Coming from a musical family, Jonas started producing interviews and musical clips with classical artists for the record label CHANNEL CLASSICS, often traveling abroad. After earning a degree in Audiovisual Media Design at the Utrecht School of the Arts (Netherlands, ‘08) Jonas started working on numerous short narrative films, commercials and music videos as a gaffer and later as a cinematographer. After shooting his first feature ‘CHAPLIN OF THE MOUNTAINS’ in Kurdistan/Iraq, he decided to move to Los Angeles to turn cinematography into a full-time endeavor. He is currently enrolled in the cinematography program at AFI, preparing his thesis film MACHSOM, directed by Joel Novoa.
